It’s interesting that the killer placed stars over the eyes of the victims. Greek mythology has a practice where coins are placed over the eyes of the deceased so that the ferryman, Charon, will take the bodies across the river Styx to the underworld. Ancient Egyptians would paint the ceilings of tombs with constellations to help guide the deceased through the afterlife. Also, many cultures believe that when a person dies their soul becomes stars. The stars placed on each victim were very similar to these I ordered online from Dave’s House of Props.
Were stars used, in this case, as payment or navigational beacons for the deceased? As I hold the stars in one hand and place my other hand on Ms. Laslow, I sense they are going to somehow reveal a word of significance about the killer to us.
I’m in the mood for a little music. My good intern, I know you aren’t a big music fan but I hope you can find enjoyment in this song.
Number 1 – Aries, Number 2 – Gemini, Number 3 – Sagittarius, Number 4 – Aries, Number 5 – Capricorn, Number 6 – Virgo, Number 7 – Cancer, Number 8 – Gemini, Number 9 – Sagittarius, Number 10 – Aries, Number 11 – Virgo, Number 12 – Pisces, Number 13 – Aries, Number 14 – Leo, Number 15 – Pisces
Sometimes holding objects related to the bodies helps me. Since Ms. Laslow was a student, I headed over to my chalkboard and grabbed a piece of chalk.
My hand just started writing gibberish.
